Holding Hands                    Qi Ling

Hands tossed, it took half the ages to turn around

Worlds apart, countenance lost

Grew and trimmed the stubborn finger nails, trimmed and grow

Losing the monopoly of your deft hands

Hand knitted scarf tug-of-war with the unrelenting time

The twin seals crafted at Wangfujing

Isolated in the laps of the bookworms at the Rouge Inkpot Chamber

Renounced the unequal treaty Article 21 of the Dog and the Cat

Discarded long ago at the Museum of Hearts

In the most inconspicuous corner

Forgiving the cheating house, cheating bed, cheating sunlight in the humid Southern country

Thirty years and half the ages made up

a Diamond Jubilee

Undeliverable those elegant pictures of the first half ages

Barely cold yet warm early March in England

Hands waving
